The Battle For America :: By Nathele Graham

America is about to vote for men to lead our nation. This is something that should never be taken lightly. Remember, it is God we must honor with our vote.

No man is perfect, but there are some who should never be trusted to lead a nation.

There is a spiritual battle raging for control of America, and Satan seems to be winning. There have been so many totally immoral leaders that it is shameful, and somehow, they all get a free pass from the press. JFK was a womanizer, as was Clinton, who disgraced the office of president and should be ashamed. Obama bowed to Muslims and brought into law things that are totally against God. Did any of these men repent and turn from their sin? Joe Biden? What a joke. I will never be persuaded to believe that he won the last election legally. I will also never believe that he is making decisions on his own without some very evil forces pulling his puppet strings.

Let me ask this question: Why should God bless America? The fact that any of those men have been elected is a very sad comment on the depths to which Americans have sunk morally. I know that there is a remnant Christian community, but we seem to be willing to give up our Constitutional rights while debased people speak out radically. We don’t want to judge. Using Scripture as our guide, opposing any lifestyle that is contrary to God isn’t judging; they are judging themselves. Why should we hold our silence while so many people are condemning themselves to eternal death while Christians stay silent?

Jesus loved everyone, but when a sexually promiscuous woman was brought before Him to be condemned, He showed compassion and love. He convicted her accusers, who left in disgrace, but she found forgiveness. After the religious hypocrites had left the scene in disgrace, Jesus asked her where her accusers were. “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more” (John 8:11). She found forgiveness, just like you and I can be forgiven of our sin. There has to be true repentance, then we must go and sin no more. We must reach out to nonbelievers and help them come to salvation through Jesus Christ.

Can we stop sinning? Not on this side of Heaven, but Christians have found grace through Christ. That doesn’t mean we have a free pass to keep sinning. That woman was sexually sinning, and she had to stop. How many people reading this are in a sexual relationship that is not within a one man/one woman marriage? I’m not asking what you identify as because there are no gray areas. You are born male or female. Jesus, the Creator of all things, said, “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female” (Mark 10:6). One of Satan’s most devious ways of destroying a nation is through sexual sin. Many nations throughout history have been destroyed because of immorality, and America is asking for destruction.

The nation of Israel has gone through many ups and downs in its history, and when Solomon became king, they were on the right path to greatness. Solomon followed King David, who had truly loved God. Solomon built the Temple and began to lead the nation into a good relationship with God. They began to honor God’s Law. At the dedication of the Temple, God spoke to Solomon and gave conditions for them to receive blessings. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

This was a directive to the Jewish people, but let me ask you: are you a Christian? Does that mean you are called by God’s name? Christian begins with Christ. Does that mean you need to honor Him in all things? Absolutely. Scripture cannot be twisted to condone a sin and still remain God’s word. God never changes. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of the same sin that is gripping America and, indeed, the entire world. God will judge.

America is not Israel, and the promises God made to Israel are not promised to America. Still, we can look to Israel as an example of how God blesses a nation that honors Him. King David was a God-fearing man. Not perfect, but when his sin was brought to his attention, he was broken over it. He didn’t make excuses but humbly went to God in repentance. “Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight; that thou mightiest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest” (Psalm 51:2-4).

David sinned, and nothing he could do would change that fact. He created a baby with a married woman, then made sure her husband, a very loyal soldier, was put in a battle where he would surely be killed. David’s sin was great. If he hadn’t turned to God and humbly bowed before Him in repentance, David would have died and been forgotten. As it turned out, David was the greatest king of Israel. Through his lineage, Jesus was born. What an honor! It needs to be noted, too, that the baby that was created from this sin wasn’t murdered (aborted). He was born but was very unhealthy and died. David was heartbroken. No baby should ever be murdered, another sin that America needs to repent over.

America has embraced so much sin that I wonder how God can ever forgive this once-Christian nation. He can, but we have to repent and turn from our sin. We cannot continue to sin and expect God’s blessing. Go back and read 2 Chronicles 7:14 and apply it. That was given to Israel as a nation, but we have to apply it individually. Non-believers cannot understand sin and repentance. When Christians embrace the same sins as non-believers, then we are the hypocrites. Christians must return to honoring God.

Another thing to consider when voting for a leader is how they feel about Israel. Make no mistake: God has never totally turned away from Israel. They have had to pay for their times of rebellion, but even when they rebel against Him, God’s promises to them are still there.

Israel is slowly coming back to God, and that’s a blessing. The atrocity of the attack in October 2023 was animalistic barbarianism. It never would have happened if America had a strong leader instead of a puppet. Israel has dealt with many terrorist attacks over the years, and it’s time those attacks were stopped. Unfortunately, the world sees Israel as the aggressor and opposes their right to protect and defend themselves. That shows how blind the world is to truth. God gave the land to Abraham. Forever. God also made a promise that He would bless those who bless Israel. “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). Be sure you vote for a man who has a love for Israel.

There are many nations that once existed but openly embraced sin and mocked God. Do you ever hear about the nation of Edom? Their destruction is found in Jeremiah 49:17-22. Others are Assyria (Zephaniah 2:13-15); God sent Jonah to preach to Nineveh, and they repented but turned back to their evil ways and were destroyed; Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18:20); the Moabites (Zephaniah 2:8-10) and Philistines (Zephaniah 2:5). These nations were destroyed because of their treatment of Israel and their immoral lifestyles. America could be added to these nations that have been destroyed if we don’t turn back to God. Christians must honor God instead of following the ways of the world.

Daniel had a very interesting life. When he was young, he had been taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon and eventually was promoted to be a very high-ranking official in that evil city filled with sin. Daniel never turned away from God, even though it meant being thrown to hungry lions. God gave Daniel many prophecies, and we need to pay attention to them. One that I find interesting is found in Daniel chapter 10. Daniel had been fasting and praying for three weeks. While he was by a river named Hiddekel, he saw something that scared him so badly that he collapsed. He saw an angel. “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words” (Daniel 10:12).

Maybe Christians should pay attention. Should we fast? Should we pray? Yes, we should (again, go back and read 2 Chronicles 7:14). Why didn’t help come when Daniel first started praying? Why did it take three weeks? “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia, Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days” (Daniel 10:13-14). This prophecy is for the final days and is for the Jewish people. God is not done with Israel, and the “church” has not replaced Israel.

Daniel didn’t give up praying. There’s an acronym I like P.U.S.H., which stands for “Pray Until Something Happens.” What was the “Prince of the Kingdom of Persia”? Was it a ruler, something like a vice president? It actually was/is a demon. It was a power behind the government. The Apostle Paul talks about spiritual warfare, names the spiritual enemies, and tells us how to fight. “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:11-12).

The prince (evil power) of Persia would be followed by the prince (evil power) of Grecia. These evil entities haven’t died out. Do you think that there is an evil “prince” of America? I do. As I watch this nation crumble because of sin and open rebellion against God, I’m convinced that there is an evil presence over America. I have been praying that God will break the power that is protecting the evil men and women who are destroying this nation. God is more powerful than any principality, power, or ruler of darkness, but God-fearing people need to humble themselves and pray.

There are ways for every Christian to take part in the battle for America. Prayer brought an answer to Daniel, and we need to earnestly pray. Daniel never stopped praying, and neither should we. Christians also need to stand firm on God’s truth. Don’t compromise your faith. Never be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and the truth found there. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16). You may face persecution if you stand on God’s truth, but it’s better to honor God than Satan.

In America, we have fair elections, or we used to. We need to demand that only citizens are allowed to vote. If “we the people” keep silent and allow “them the tyrants” to continue their evil ways, then we are allowing Satan to win. Only God can make America great again, and we need His help.

There are people from many nations who will read this. I’m writing as an American citizen, but you need to apply this to your own country. Satan is the enemy of everybody, even those who think he’s on their side. When you read Revelation, you’ll be amazed at how close we are to the one world order and the beast system. It’s all very satanic. Don’t be fooled into believing lies. Pray. Pray for your strength to stand firm on Christ, and pray for America. The battle is raging.

God bless you all,

Nathele Graham
